Tommy Abu Alfatih
Dailymail.co.uk - Australian Federal Police fear two Indonesian pilots have been radicalised by Islamic State (IS) supporters and may pose a threat to security worldwide.

A leaked report compiled by intelligence officials revealed the pair - who know each other - had shared content on their social media pages that harboured sympathies towards the terrorist organisation currently wreaking havoc across the Middle East.

It is thought at least one of them may have made it to Syria to fight alongside IS.

Based on the evidence on their Facebook pages, AFP analysts believe content from both accounts suggest they are 'likely being influenced by radical elements - at least from the online environment - and as a result, may pose a security threat'.

The report identifies one of the pilots as Tommy Abu Alfatih, who used to work for Premiair and Garuda airlines.

On his Facebook, he is pictured smiling in front of the Sydney Opera House while on holiday back in August 2014.

Mr Abu Alfatih lives in Bogor, south of Jakarta in Indonesia, and appears to be married with at least two children.

The pilot now lists his occupation as a driver for a local business.

Before mid-2014, he seemed to be an enthusiastic traveller, judging by the many pictures taken in Europe and Asia, and was no doubt given many opportunities to do so through his job.

But after this time, Mr Abu Alfatih started airing his grievances about the plight of Muslims across the world and posting IS propaganda on his Facebook page, according the report dated March 18.

The second pilot, who has been identified as Ridwan Agustin, lists his hometown as Jakarta but as of March 17 his current location was Raqqa in Syria.

He is married to a former AirAsia flight attendant and is a former employee of the airline himself.

AFP say Mr Agustin began posting 'material indicative of support to IS' in September, and started dressing more conservatively in line with the Islamic style and growing facial hair.

Additionally, sources said the pilot had left comments on the page of Jemaah Islamiyah associate Heri Kustyanto who is also known as Abu Azzam Qaswarah Al Indonesy.

Heri is thought to be fighting in Syria or Iraq with IS militants.

Jemaah Islamiyah is an Islamic extremist organisation based in south-east Asia.

The leaked document was given to authorities in in Turkey, Jordan, London and the U.S. along with Europol, according to The Intercept.

An AFP spokeswoman told Daily Mail Australia they did 'not comment on matters of intelligence'.

'The AFP maintains strong relationships with its domestic and foreign law enforcement partners to ensure the ongoing safety of Australians both within Australia and abroad,' the spokeswoman added.
